Eligibility for ONGC Recruitment of Legal Adviser
As per the notification issued for CLAT Authorities for CLAT-2019, the eligibility criteria is different than that of ONGC but for recruitment for Assistant Legal Adviser in ONGC the minimum eligibility criteria would be as below.
Educational Qualification for ONGC CLAT Recruitment
- Graduate Degree in Law (Professional) with minimum 60% marks is required for ONGC Recruitment 2019.
- Practicing advocate with 3 years experience would be preferred for all categories.
Students in the final semester of the qualifying course can also apply.
However, they must be able to produce mark sheet and course completion certificate with minimum 60% of marks on or before 31.07.2019.
Failing to produce mark sheet and course completion certificate their candidature will be treated as cancelled.
Age Limit
Age limit as on 01.01.2019 is 30 years.
Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Caste Certificate
You will get the benefit of reservation under OBC category. For this, the name of caste and community must appear in the website www.ncbc.nic.in.
You have to submit the non-creamy layer certificate at the time of interview
How to apply for ONGC Recruitment of Legal Adviser
You can not change the details once saved and submitted the online application.
Application is a two stage process
- On-line registration for CLAT-2019. The CLAT examination for LLM to be held on 12.05.2019
- For detailed information on CLAT-2019 examination for LLM, the interested candidates may log on to https://clatconsortiumofnlu.ac.in
- After completion of CLAT registration you can apply for ONGC Recruitment.
- Online Application to ONGC with relevant link available at www.ongcindia.com.
- You should pay a registration fee for the online application.
- Then you have to provide the details such of CLAT-2019 registration number.
- After that you should upload the scanned certificates.
You must enter the same name in the same configuration as entered while applying for CLAT-2019 examination for LLM.
For example, if you entered the name as Praveen Kumar Singh in the ON-LINE CLAT-2019,you must enter Praveen Kumar Singh (exactly same spelling) while applying to ONGC online.
You may also get the information regarding uploading the scanned certificates, shortlisted for interviews and interview call letter etc. on the website of ONGC-www.ongcindia.com.

Before registering/submitting the online applications on the website you should keep ready the following documents.
- CLAT-2019 Application/Registration No.
- Valid Mobile number & E-mail ID in which the OTP will be sent for completing the registration process.
- Scanned copy of recent passport size color photograph of the candidate with white background containing signature of the candidate in a small white sheet pasted just below the photograph (Not more than 70 KB size)
- Caste certificate to fill details regarding community, state & district, if belongs to OBC/SC/ST category.
- Scanned copy of Bank Challan Form indicating clearly the Challan No. and other details(For General, EWS and OBC candidates only)
- Scanned copies of all certificates (Qualifications, CLAT-2019 Registration/application slip, Identity proof etc.)
Application Fee for ONGC CLAT Recruitment
The registration fee for ONGC Recruitment is non-refundable.
Registration fee can be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India through challan.
- General,OBC and EWS candidates are required to deposit Rs 370. The fee includes Registration Fee-Rs 299.20/- , Bank charges- (Rs 60/-, GST-10.80/- on Bank charges.
- SC/ST/PWD candidates are not required to deposit any registration fee.
How to pay ONGC Application Fee
The fee is to be deposited in ONGC Power Jyoti A/C Number 30827318409 of SBI, Tel Bhavan, Dehradun.
You should pay the fee through downloaded challan form (designated process) only.
Payment is to be made as per the designated process only.
No other mode of payment would be accepted.
Applicants should not deposit fee through instruments like Demand Draft/ Banker Cheques/ IPO, online transfer of money into ONGC account etc.
