Selection Process of ONGC Recruitment Legal Adviser
The selection process of ONGC recruitment begins with the scrutinizing of the documents.
Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be shortlisted on the basis of CLAT-2019 Score for Post Graduate courses (LLM). CLAT 2019 course will be on 12th May 2019.
Eligible candidates meeting age and minimum eligibility criteria of ONGC will be required to appear in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)-2019. for this examination you have to follow ONGC Exam syllabus 2019 along with the CLAT syllabus.
This ONGC CLAT test will be conducted by National Law University Odisha(NLUO), Cuttack.
The purpose of CLAT 2019 is post graduate programme (LLM) in the National Law Universities.
ONGC Recruitment Admit Card
The Call letters either will be available at ONGC Website or will be sent through Email.
No separate Interview Call Letters shall be sent to the candidates by post.

Process of ONGC Recruitment Examination
The selection process of ONGC examination is mainly of four steps.
The officers will verify your documents and testimonials. You will get marks according to your marks in previous examinations.
The examiners will select you on the basis of scores obtained by the you in different examinations. They will check the score of CLAT-2019 Examination for LLM, Educational Qualification(Including additional higher qualification i.e. Ph.D only) and performance in personal Interview.
ONGC Exam syllabus 2019 for CLAT
The details ONGC recruitment syllabus is as follows.
- For Qualification, there will be 25 marks. (20 marks for essential qualification and 5 marks for inline Ph.D)
- The highest mark is given for the Weightage of CLAT-2019 Score. Total 60 marks will be allotted for CLAT 2019 score.
- A personal Interview will be held for 15 marks. Minimum qualifying marks in Interview UR and OBC -9 Marks SC,ST and PwD-6 Marks.
ONGC recruitment syllabus 2019 is designed for total 100 marks
Importance of ONGC Recruitment Syllabus
The selection of the candidates for ONGC recruitment 2019 will be base on ONGC recruitment syllabus 2019.
You have to prepare yourself according to the syllabus.
Candidates have to qualify at each stage/ criteria for final selection.
If total marks are identical than order of merit will be fixed on the basis of Weightage of CLAT Score.
If CLAT Score are identical than the one older in age is considered senior for release for appointment.
Medical Test of ONGC Selection Process
After completion of the above selection process, there will be a medical examination.
Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the Company’s Medical Examination.
The medical examination will be held as per standards laid down under ONGC’s Medical Examination of Employees Rules, 1996.
Posting of ONGC Exam Candidates
After the above mentioned process, you will be posted as a legal adviser in ONGC.
They may post you as per their requirement. You can not choose your posting address.
It is clearly mentioned in the notification that, “the selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India or abroad”.
Candidates employed in PSUs and Government departments will be required to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.
