Union Public Service Commission has recently released an official notification regarding the online application for the upcoming UPSC Civil Services Recruitment [current_date format=”Y”]. This year Civil Services Examination has released a notification for 796 posts.

How to Apply
Eligible candidates should submit their online application on the official web portal of UPSC. I have discussed the step by step online application process here.
Candidates have to apply through online process. The application form will be filled in two phases.
The first phase includes application registration, second stage fee payment, selection of examination center, uploading of photos and signature and declaration consent.
First, go to the website of the Commission (www.upsconline.nic.in). Click on the link ‘Online Application for Various Examination of UPSC’ on the homepage.
On the new webpage, go to the ‘Click Here’ link of ‘Part Registration’. Read the online instructions here and click on the Yes button. In the opening form, enter all the information related to your personal, educational qualification and experience.
Then click on the ‘I Agri’ button. After doing this, you will get a unique registration ID generated by the system. With the help of this registration ID, the second phase of online registration will be completed.
For the second step, click on the ‘Part-2 online registration’ link. Here, enter the registration number and date of birth and click on the ‘Submit’ button. Along with this, scan and upload a copy of the photograph and signature at the designated place. Photos and Signatures should only be in a maximum of 40 KB sizes in JPG format.
Then click on ‘Fee Payment’ and pay the application fee. After that select the option of the examination center.
Finally, after carefully checking the contents entered in the application form, click on the ‘I Agri’ button. After clicking on the I Agri button, no modification in the application form will be done.
The registration number will be received on clicking the Agri button. Note down the registration number and take a printout of that page.
UPSC Civil Services Recruitment [current_date format=”Y”] Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only). Fee can be paid either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card.
Online application can be made for the Civil Services Pre Exam till 3 March 2020.
The admit cards of the applicants will be issued three weeks before the examination. Objective type questions will be asked in the pre-exam.
There is a provision of negative marking if the wrong answer is given.
There will be a provision of 400 marks in the pre-examination.
The pre-exam is only for determining the eligibility to sit for the main examination.
The marks obtained in it will not be added further.
If you have passed the pre-exam then your marks will not be added to the final result.
A total of 796 posts will be filled through this recruitment process. However, this number can be changed later.
Pre-exam will be conducted in 73 cities of the country while the main examination will be held in 24 cities.
At the same time, the interview of the applicants who have succeeded in the main examination will be conducted in the UPSE headquarters in Delhi.
